My tips for writing a novel: Part 6: Final points.

By ©Demonia

1. Liberate your mind: You are good enough; you are brave enough. You are ready to face the trolls. The first step is always the hardest. Even if you have only completed 10%, you are on the way to completion, and that’s all that matters for now. Don’t think about celebrating or completing, just focus on the ‘right now’ make a list of all you have to do. Put a checkmark next to what you have completed; do a little work each day (one hour). If you have time, put in the extra hours.

2. Show don’t tell: The ‘show, don’t tell’ writing strategy is a technique writers use to convey information through details and actions, rather than stating something outright.

3. Find your own voice: Have your own style.

4. It’s okay to get help: There are professional editors and specialists online to help you.

5. Ignore the trolls: They are desperate for attention. Take a Break: Log off, turn off notifications, or delete apps for a digital detox to protect your well-being.

6. Keep your personal workplace clean: And make sure you can work uninterrupted.
